The Nerd in Me

I love science. I also love when science meets beauty, when the left and right sides of your brain collide.

A few years ago I discovered Nikon's Microscopy Small World competition. Some of the things you can see under a microscope are crazy beautiful! Apparently, this contest has been going on since 1977.

These are just a few of the super cool slides from this competition. Check out the rest of them here! I love trying to guess what I am actually looking at from a microscopic level. It's a good time waster of a website, but I justify it because I feel like I'm learning so much whenever I click around there! It reminds me how intricate and detailed God's handiwork is. So amazing!

 

You're Such a Grownup, Pup

Happy third birthday to my awesome dog, Moxy. He's so mature, he even wears bowties now.

 He may still try to roll in poo and and shred toilet paper rolls occasionally, but like I said before, he's awesome and mature.

To celebrate his birthday, he took the liberty of eating all of the cat's food. And then I tied a ribbon around his neck and made him sit still for pictures, which I know he loved!
